4th of July 2009

Well, July is halfway over and I've got tons to blog about. I'll start with the 4th of July.
Every year, my parents host a party at their home. The 4th of July just happens to be their anniversary. This year, it was their 34th anniversary.
For one of my dishes, I brought dirt.

Allyson helped me make it. It was your typical dirt recipe, but I actually found chocolate rocks at Wal-Mart. The little trowel came in a happy meal from Chick-Fil-A, I think. I lined the flower pot with a slow-cooker liner. It was a hit. We arrived an hour after everyone ate, but it got "dug up".

It wasn't a very big crowd this year. Which made the day relaxing and a bit more enjoyable.

The Shah's came with us to celebrate little Miss Abigail's first 4th of July.

Here we are.

Mike and me.

Mike gave Akkyson a little boat ride around the pond.

Abigail and me, her Aunt Dawn. :D

Papa poppin' all of Allyson's bubbles. They are sitting in the boat next to the dock.

My dad loves sparklers.

So, do Andrea and I!

Mike's fabulous fireworks display!

And, the next day, we headed to Jacksonville to go on our cruise. I'll post pictures of that next time.
Hope you had a Happy 4th!
